Privacy Policy for RemoRemind
RemoRemind is an offline-first reminder and countdown timer app. Your reminders stay on your device. We do not create accounts, and we do not operate a RemoRemind cloud database for your reminder content.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Brixs Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the RemoRemind mobile application (“App”). By installing or using RemoRemind, you agree to this Policy.

2. Scope
This Policy covers:
- Information stored on your device by RemoRemind
- Permissions the App may request
- Advertising (App Open ads via Google AdMob)
- Links you open from the App
- Your choices and rights
It does not cover third-party websites, stores, or services you visit outside RemoRemind, which have their own privacy practices.
3. Information we process
3.1 Information stored only on your device
RemoRemind stores the following locally on your phone (for example using on-device storage). This data is used to provide the App’s features and is not uploaded to Brixs Apps servers for syncing or profiling:
- Reminder titles, notes, categories, schedules, and times
- Countdown and count-up counter titles and target dates/times
- Completion / “mark done” status for today’s reminder instances
- Onboarding completion and app preferences
- Local notification / alarm identifiers needed to schedule alerts
If you uninstall the App or clear app data, this local information is deleted according to your device’s normal behavior.
3.2 Information we do not collect for accounts
- No login or account registration
- No password collection
- No RemoRemind cloud backup of your reminder list operated by us
- No access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location for RemoRemind features
3.3 Advertising-related information (third party)
RemoRemind may show App Open advertisements only using Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. When ads are requested, Google and its partners may process information such as:
- Advertising ID (resettable device advertising identifier)
- IP address and general device / network information
- App and ad interaction / diagnostic events
- Consent / privacy signals where required by law
This advertising processing is governed primarily by Google’s policies and your device / regional privacy settings. See Google’s resources: Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & privacy.
Where supported, RemoRemind requests non-personalized ads by default. In regions that require consent (for example EEA/UK), a consent message may appear before ads. You can open ad privacy options from RemoRemind Settings when available.
3.4 Information you send us voluntarily
If you email support or feedback (for example to contact@brixsapps.com), we receive the content of your message and your email address so we can respond. We use this only for support and product improvement communications related to your request.
4. Permissions and why we use them
Depending on your Android version, RemoRemind may request or use:
- Notifications — to alert you when a reminder or countdown is due
- Exact alarms / Alarms & reminders — so alerts can fire close to the time you chose (core timer/reminder functionality)
- Boot completed — to help restore scheduled alerts after the device restarts
- Vibrate / wake lock (as needed by the OS) — to deliver alerts reliably
- Internet — to load ads and to open links you tap (policy, store, email)
- Advertising ID — used by the ads SDK for advertising purposes in line with Google Play policies
You can revoke notification permission, limit ad tracking, or change alarm permissions in your device Settings. Doing so may reduce or delay alerts or ads.
5. How we use information
- Provide reminders, countdowns, and local notifications
- Remember your in-app preferences and onboarding state
- Show App Open ads to support a free app
- Respond to support emails you send us
- Comply with law and platform (Google Play) requirements
We do not sell your reminder content. We do not use your reminder titles to build advertising profiles on Brixs Apps servers, because that content is not uploaded to us.
6. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in a region with GDPR-style rules (such as the EEA/UK), we rely on:
- Contract / service delivery — local processing needed to run reminders and timers you create
- Consent — where required for personalized advertising or certain ad technologies
- Legitimate interests — limited support communications and keeping the free app sustainable via ads, balanced against your rights
7. Sharing
We share information only as follows:
- Google AdMob / advertising partners — for App Open ads (see Section 3.3)
- Service providers — if we use email or hosting providers to operate brixsapps.com or receive support mail
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
Reminder schedules and titles are not shared by us with advertisers because they remain on your device.
8. Data retention
- On-device RemoRemind data — retained until you delete items, clear app data, or uninstall
- Support emails — retained as long as needed to handle your request and maintain basic business records
- Ad-related data — retained by Google / partners under their policies
9. Security
We design RemoRemind so sensitive reminder content stays on your device. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Protect your device with a lock screen and keep your OS updated. If you believe there is a security issue affecting RemoRemind, contact contact@brixsapps.com.
10. Children’s privacy
RemoRemind is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
The App may be used in different countries. Advertising partners such as Google may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, consent and transfer safeguards are handled through Google’s consent and advertising frameworks.
12. Your choices and rights
- Turn notifications off in system Settings
- Manage Alarms & reminders / exact alarm access on Android
- Reset or delete Advertising ID / limit ad tracking in device settings
- Use in-app Ad privacy options when shown
- Clear app storage or uninstall RemoRemind to remove local data
- Email contact@brixsapps.com to ask questions or request deletion of support correspondence we hold
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to withdraw consent. For advertising data held by Google, you may also need to use Google’s tools and device settings.
13. Third-party links
The App may link to Google Play, our website, or email. Those destinations are not controlled by RemoRemind’s local storage model; review their policies separately.
14. Important product notice
RemoRemind is a personal productivity tool. Category labels (for example “Medicine”) are organizational only and are not medical advice. Do not rely on RemoRemind as an emergency, medical, or safety-critical alerting system. Notification delivery can be delayed or blocked by the operating system, battery savers, or missing permissions.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of RemoRemind after an update means you accept the revised Policy. Material changes may also be reflected in the Play Store listing or in-app privacy screen.
